The entire world has observed a menacing pandemic – Corona Virus Disease, which has almost crippled the normal life everywhere – from San Francisco to Addis Ababa, binding mankind a mere spectator of the damages to human lives. Huge hit on overall economy starting from Aviation, Tourism, Restaurants to Movie Business was observed. Somehow, being the core sectors, Agri-Input & Medical Businesses are surviving. Eid, Janmasthami and other festivals have been celebrated in a very unceremonial way this year under this alarming situation. People are stuck in their houses for months, students are bound to restrict their studies through online courses only, trains & buses cease to ply, air travel is very limited –all are different facets of problems we are facing presently.

Now coming to Agriculture, I must pen down that, this Kharif-2020 Season ended like a 20:20 cricket match within just 20 days of time! Sales went up to a peak quickly and then fell down to ground suddenly. This led to sales returns more than expectation, particularly in case of OPV paddy. Most of the companies were not ready for this, particularly when logistics was the biggest challenge felt this year for all companies as movement of goods were restricted badly due to frequent lockdown almost everywhere.

Good news for RSFPL is that, even under this crucial time of ‘Tsunami of Economic Downturn’, Corporate wing of RSFPL has performed well above expectation and registered a mighty 300% growth on its last year sales performance in Kharif season.

Monsoon was normal this year and there was no shortage of rainfall or no challenge faced regarding its distribution. I hope to see good acreages of all Rabi crops from October onwards.

Company is reorganising its Logistics and R&D Laboratory. We will come up with 2 new Cold Storage Facilities having combined capacities of 1000 MT at Ramnagar Plant by October’20.

Trade Partners have observed good performance of different vegetable products last year and we are optimistic to grow exponentially in vegetable crops this year. Initial traction on vegetable sales is indicative to that. I thank Respected Chairman, Managing Director, other Board of Directors, Chief Advisor, Chief Consultant, VP-Operations, all team members and all business partners for their kind cooperation for the growth of RSFPL.
