One after another depression over Bay-of-Bengal had complicated the sowing pattern of Rabi crops, which were not sown on time. Potato & Maize are two major affected crops due to this untimely rainfall. Cultivation of winter vegetable crops have been delayed to a great extent. Mustard acreage has been increased phenomenally this year. We have sold about 100 MT of Mustard seeds this year under Corporate Wing of RSFPL for the first time. This is because of huge price of mustard oil. We have somehow managed to sell about 100 MT of Rabi maize put together double cross and single cross hybrids, but overall sentiment of maize is very poor due to downfall of business in poultry industry.
We have organized another 15 number of Dealers’ Meet in South Bengal during third quarter, which has helped our trade partners to understand our products in a detailed manner.
Boro paddy business has crossed expectations of everybody in the company as sales in Midnapore East has covered up shortfall of other districts like South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia etc.
Watermelon and Bhindi sowing has been greatly delayed and we are hopeful that with the advent of new year there will be huge traction in vegetable sales. Corporate Wing of RSFPL has doubled the volume of last year sales already. Kudos to all my colleagues for their relentless work!!
I wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful New Year 2022!!!
Warm Regards,
