While it is time to pen down the important aspects of first quarter, I find it very appropriate and relevant to convey my heartfelt regards & thanks to all employees for their assiduity, perseverance, tenacity and hard work during last 3 months while they worked day in and day out.

So far, the traction for paddy seeds is majorly skewed towards hybrid paddy and improved paddy rather than OPV paddy seeds. Rainfall pattern also is not very optimistic and distribution of rainfall till June end was not very even. Farmers are skeptical on use of costly seeds in this scenario.

Demand of age-old paddy variety MTU7029 looks very dull and sales of this variety is nose diving year on year. Demand of maize seeds are high in this scenario. This is very positive sign to boost up farmers’ morals and also it brings good sentiments for all trade partners.

We have placed around 25% over material than last year. We are hopeful that our sales team and trade partners will be able to liquidate the stocks and will ensure a good profit.
